On the afternoon of March 21, 2025, the scientific seminar <\/span>\u201cIntroduction of IVACRIG Rabies Immunoglobulin\u201d<\/span><\/i> was successfully held at the Auditorium of Xuyen A General Hospital, Ho Chi Minh City. The event was co-organized by Naviva Group \u2013 Nam Hung Viet Vaccine & Biological Products JSC and the Institute of Vaccines and Medical Biologicals (IVAC), with the participation of doctors, healthcare professionals, and representatives from four hospitals within the Xuyen A General Hospital System.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Key Highlights of the Seminar<\/b><\/span><\/h2>\n

According to the <\/span>World Health Organization (WHO)<\/b>, more than 10 million people are bitten each year by rabid or suspected rabid animals and require post-exposure prophylaxis with rabies vaccines. The mortality rate of rabies is extremely high, nearly 100%. According to the Department of Preventive Medicine, in 2024, Vietnam recorded more than 80 rabies-related deaths across 33 provinces and cities. Timely administration of rabies vaccines and rabies immunoglobulin, under the proper guidance of doctors, is currently the safest and most effective method of rabies prevention.<\/span><\/span><\/h2>\n

The seminar was an opportunity for doctors and healthcare professionals to update the latest information on IVACRIG Rabies Immunoglobulin. Experts from the Institute of Vaccines and Medical Biologicals (IVAC), particularly Dr. Duong Huu Thai, MD, PhD \u2013 Director of IVAC, delivered an insightful presentation on the manufacturing process, clinical applications, and efficacy of IVACRIG.<\/span><\/p>\n
