One of the highlights of the visit was the tour of the Suoi Dau Breeding Farm, a facility with more than 130 years of history that has played an important role in the development of microbiology and biological product manufacturing in Vietnam. Today, the farm raises horses for the production of antitoxins and other biological products while continuing to serve as a key component of IVAC’s research and manufacturing activities.

The visit provided the delegation with valuable insights into a critical stage of the research, development, and production process for biological products while also highlighting the importance of preserving and advancing the scientific legacy built over generations.

In addition to the professional exchange, the delegation paid tribute at the Dr. Alexandre Yersin Memorial Site. Dr. Yersin’s pioneering contributions laid the foundation for microbiology and preventive medicine in Vietnam. The visit was not only an expression of respect for his enduring legacy, but also an opportunity for the delegation to reflect on the values of scientific excellence, innovation, and dedication to improving public health.
